Creating Environmentally Friendly Behaviours for the Children

Everything continues the way it started.
Learning environmentally friendly, eco friendly behaviours of a child is very similar to other learning procedures. And your role on the teaching side is also similar.
Your first obligation is to be a good example for your child. The others are:

1- Go often to the parks, playgrounds and zoo.

2- Teach them water saving: Emphasize the worth of the water and have them turn the water off while brushing their teeth as the beginning.


3- Keeping pets is always a good way to establish the respect for the animals. If keeping pets at home is not possible, try to bring pets and your child together.

4- Visit "green" shops and buy herbs, environmentally friendly products and explain them why you choose to buy it.

5 - Watch together the rain, snow,... and speak about natural events.

6- Teach your child to turn off lights when he leaves the rooms.

7- All you have some plants at home. Give water together and talk about the importance of water for the plants.


8- Buy and read books about plants, wild animals, planets,....

9- Play games about sorting the recyclable items like paper, cans, glass.
